Overview

Mabey Bridge entered the renewable energy market in 2010 with a £38m investment into a state of the art manufacturing facility dedicated to the fabrication of wind turbine towers.

We were contracted to deliver this exceptionally large, longitudinal factory space, with a composite roofing system and built-up walls. The building was constructed around an existing goods yard which remained operational throughout, including the heavy overhead crane.

During this project we demonstrated that under standard operating conditions, our teams are able to deliver an excellent quality of finish, while constructing roofing at a rate of 3000 square meters a day.
