As supermarkets seek to drive up environmental standards throughout the supply-chain, Kane Foods sought to maximise their BREEAM points by installing a green roof and using a high proportion of recycled materials in the building construction.

We installed a self curved aluminium standing seam with growing medium and a sedum green roof overlaid. To allow access to tend the green roof we incorporated a Latchway fall restraint system. Our team constructed the walls using timber SIPs panels with shredded hemp acting as the insulant on top of an aluminium standing seam system.
